Across Minnesota, immigrant families impacted by the ongoing ICE presence are struggling to afford groceries, rent, and other basic essentials. These families need urgent financial support as they recover. We're working to raise $10,000 in direct support for our communities - and that's where you come in!

Midis for Minnesota is an upcoming pack of ~10 midi crosswords created by Minnesotan constructors in support of neighbors impacted by ICE in Minnesota. It will be released in late April 2026. To access the crosswords, you’ll donate to a trusted mutual aid organization listed on this website and submit your donation receipt to us. Then, we’ll email you the crossword pack!

These organizations provide food delivery and financial support directly to community members, transferring funds quickly and with dignity. Give generously if you are able - think about what you would give to support a friend facing eviction or unable to feed their family. As you solve these midis, you'll know that your support is helping keep families safe, housed and fed.

Who is behind Midis for Minnesota?

Two Minnesotans, Will Eisenberg and Hannah Slovut-Einertson. The constructor team is made up of current and former Minnesota residents, who have collectively had hundreds of crosswords published by various newspapers and indie outlets. The constructor list will be posted closer to the release date.

What is a midi crossword?

Midis occupy the space between a standard crossword you'd often see in a newspaper (usually 15x15 squares) and a mini crossword (usually between 5x5 and 7x7 squares.) Midis are often betwen 9x9 and 11x11, though many different dimensions are possible. It's common for midis to not be even close to square.
